original xbox yellow ring
Xbox 360 acting weird. HELP!!!?
SO, I moved my xbox from my living room, which has a Samsung Plasma TV that allows me to play HD quality, to another room which has an older&thicker TV. I set everything up and when I was ready to play my game, the screen didn’t appear. So, after fiddling with it for 15 minutes I moved it to another room and the same thing happened, only his time a Red Ring appeared around the power button. But it didnt look like the “Red Ring of Death”, it was a lighter shade and it was going in circles(I’m guessing that the Yellow Video Input cable doesnt work anymore). Then, after panicking I moved the Xbox back to it’s original spot. And it works fine…for now.
Can anyone tell me what is wrong with the Xbox?
When you move from a high definition to a standard definition TV, make sure you change the position of the switch on the Xbox end of the A/V cable to standard definition and that you are using the yellow visual input instead of the red, green, and blue composite inputs. The red ring means that the Xbox is not detecting a television.
