Dear Social Media
I love you.
No, scratch that. I hate you.
Wait, please unfollowed not me. Actually not say that. Sorry. I was … drunk, yes it is. I was not thinking clearly. Actually, this is not you … me.
I love you … but to be honest, I think I hate you, at the same time.
The problem is that I think about you often but not always know how best to interact and make the best of you. I stay late at night without sleep trying to find tweets only blog entries, updates the status fun or informative for you to follow me, but seems to give full attention in some grumpy old guy who made observations about life fun, LOL lame cat who wants my cheezburgers cursing or spend time reading the articles that appear Digg.
We've been seeing for some time by accident, but I wonder how it will end? I remember the early days of our relationship, when you were blog post only occasionally or slums around us together SixDegrees and Friendster.
Boy, times have changed and is more popular than ever. All everyone talking about you and seems to want a piece of you. Perhaps out of jealousy, but it hurts to hear my friends and research colleagues are about how "to" very good results when they are with you.
Personally, I do not want to say Tweet.
Please do not take this wrong, but I realized that really seem to be time near them. Especially now that you have connected with iPhones, Blackberries and Droid. I do not understand why everyone has to constantly "check in" with me and tell me where to go with you and what are you two doing? I think that deep down I really wish some of these close Yeeps keep his barking and stop barking at you every second of his day.
Maybe I feel a little left out.
All this popularity seems to be going to the head as you have an obsession with the appearance of your delay. Not content with the status quo, constantly going under the knife design. And just when they start to become familiar with their new look, you change it in me again.
At first it was only a slight movement to your logo or hardening of a column, but now becomes complete remodeling and wider panels bets Updating the status of the foreground. His obsession with appearance is Heidi Montag and Joan Rivers to shame. If not for the Wayback Machine, I hard to remember how it looked when I met you.
And not even enter their new privacy policy. Who are you trying to protect here?
But despite all this, you are really too valuable to go back. Just when I think putting the "no" in social networks, send me items value, worth about current issues and gives me the pulse of this happening with the investigation and my local scene. You help me keep my LinkedIn colleagues and customers, promote new services to potential customers and reward myself with virtual praise rare occasion where I'm useful, funny or cool.
But it's too big. Whenever I use my phone, you're there. Whenever I am online, you are there. There are even videos on YouTube, giving many views on the best way to exploit you. You have even invaded my Xbox!
The more I think, the more I think he might have to take a break. Or at least a little more time apart. I have not seen you over the weekend. My wife began to notice that we've spent more time together while my friends talk to me in 140 characters or less just to get my attention.
I think I'm more Twitterpated with you and no, I do not want to take your new starting position for a Sphinn. Of course, I still see you, but from now on will be on my terms, not yours. I am cautiously optimistic about what the future holds-May
So if Facebook are still interested in me please, follow me on Twitter, a message that I, sms, leave a comment on my WordPress blog, check out my photos on Flickr, see what I'm listening on LastFM or IM me. You can always contact me on Linked In, find me on Yelp, or update the status of my hand and we can talk on Skype. Who knows, you may only new things about myself StumbleUpon found to be delicious and worth shouting.
Just do not get e-mail. That's so 2009.
